Leaseweb is a global hybrid cloud provider offering solutions across bare metal, private cloud, public-cloud connectivity, and edge services. The rapid acceleration of AI and machine learning workloads is creating a new category of infrastructure demand, requiring high-performance compute, predictable cost structures, data sovereignty, and global scalability.
To capture the accelerating AI opportunity, Leaseweb is establishing a dedicated global AI segment, led by the Global Business Development Manager – AI. This role is mandated to define and execute Leaseweb’s global AI go-to-market strategy, building a scalable revenue engine and translating AI market momentum into sustainable commercial growth. The objective is to position Leaseweb as the infrastructure partner of choice for AI-native and AI-transforming organizations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
As Global Business Development Manager – AI, you own the end-to-end commercial strategy for the AI segment worldwide. You are accountable for identifying AI-driven growth opportunities, shaping the global AI GTM strategy, and enabling regional sales teams to acquire and expand AI customers at scale. You will operate at the intersection of AI market insight, infrastructure expertise, and commercial execution, working closely with Product, Marketing, and regional leadership to turn AI workloads into repeatable, scalable revenue. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with global impact.
Your Impact
AI Market & Strategy:
· Define Leaseweb’s global AI business development strategy, including target segments (e.g. AI verticals, startups, scale-ups, ISVs, enterprises, research institutions).
· Analyze AI market trends across training, inference, and hybrid workloads.
· Identify priority geographies, use cases, and infrastructure requirements (GPU compute, storage, networking).
· Build business cases and GTM priorities for the AI segment.
Strategic AI New-Logo Acquisition:
· Identify and engage high-value target accounts aligned with Leaseweb’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
· Build executive-level relationships and navigate complex global buying processes.
· Partner with local entities to co-develop pursuit strategies and close multi-million-euro opportunities.
Global AI Account Replication & Pipeline Development:
· Leverage successful AI customer wins to create repeatable AI sales plays.
· Develop AI-specific playbooks and enable regional sales teams to execute consistently.
· Drive global pipeline visibility, forecasting, and performance management for the AI segment.
AI Partner Ecosystem Collaboration:
· Build and manage a focused AI ecosystem including GPU vendors, AI platforms, ISVs, and system integrators.
· Define joint AI value propositions and co-sell motions.
· Strengthen Leaseweb’s positioning within the broader AI ecosystem.
Thought Leadership & AI Brand Positioning:
· Act as Leaseweb’s global AI spokesperson at industry events, analyst briefings, and customer forums.
· Represent Leaseweb at leading AI events and communities.
· Feed AI market insights back into Product and Marketing to shape roadmap, messaging, and differentiation.
What We’re Looking For
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise business development or strategic sales,
with a strong focus on AI, cloud, or infrastructure markets.
• Proven success in building and scaling new verticals or emerging markets.
• Demonstrated ability to close large, complex AI and/or infrastructure deals.
• Strong understanding of AI workloads (training vs inference), GPU-based compute, storage, networking, and hybrid architectures.
• Experience operating globally and influencing senior stakeholders across regions.
• Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel globally (up to 50%).

Education
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, technology, or related discipline.
