Datacenter Operations Engineer (Shifts) – Haarlem

Join a global cloud provider and take your career to the next level in datacenter operations! We are looking for a Datacenter Operations Engineer to support our growing infrastructure in Haarlem. This hands-on role focuses on server hardware, installations, and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operations for our customers.

As part of our 24/7 shift-based team (morning, evening, and night shifts), you will work closely with the Technical Support team with a focus on promptly restoring services for our customers.

What is the role about?

• Take ownership of all incidents, outages, and service disruptions in the Data Center

• Perform troubleshooting, root cause identification and hardware replacements ensuring resolution in accordance with Service Level Agreements

• Coordinate with different teams in order to restore services for customers and ensure seamless datacenter operations

• Conduct planned hardware replacements, modifications and relocations

• Support projects and new server deliveries in collaboration with other teams

What we’re looking for:

You have a solid IT background, understand datacenter environments, and are available to work in a fixed shift rotation.

• Hands-on experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, or Supermicro preferred)

• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

• Experience with server troubleshooting

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts

• Ability to communicate effectively both internally with different teams and departments as well as with customers

• A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach

• Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time pressure and while juggling multiple tasks

• Driver’s License and eligibility to work in the Netherlands
