Global Solution Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Solution Engineer to join our team.The Global Solutions Engineer provides technical expertise, advice, and hands-on support to customers and prospects, and Leaseweb sales teams working on opportunities involving multiple Leaseweb organizations. This role focuses on understanding client’s commercial, business and technical goals, KPIs, and challenges, translating them into detailed, value-driven solutions using standard Leaseweb services.

By collaborating with internal teams globally the Global Solutions Engineer ensures Leaseweb delivers consistent, high-quality hybrid solutions across all regions.

Collaborates with Product Management to align product offerings with customers’ needs and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborates with sales teams to provide technical assistance during the sales cycle, including opportunity qualification, RFI/RFP responses, solution positioning, and technical clarifications.

· Understands commercial, business and technical challenges of a customer and recommends the appropriate technical solutions.

· Creates detailed solution diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation for customer proposals and internal use.

· Supports product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.

· Works with the Global Solutions Architect to refine and optimize solutions based on technical and commercial constraints.

· Assists in the development of standard templates, presentations, and technical collateral to support sales and presales activities.

· Contributes to the creation of technical blogs, whitepapers, and knowledge base articles.

· Stays up-to-date with industry trends, competitive offerings, and Leaseweb’ s evolving service portfolio.

· Participates in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical and commercial acumen.

Qualifications:

· Minimum HBO or equivalent technical degree.

· 5-7 years of relevant experience in technical roles, such as solutions engineering, technical support, or presales

· Strong understanding of IAAS, Cloud, Networking, CDN, Storage, and Security technologies.

· Experience with solution diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io).

· Strong knowledge of the cloud market and competing services.

· Familiarity with presales processes and technical documentation.

· Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

· Creative and proactive approach to technical and business challenges.

· Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced environment.

· Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
